Adrien Rabiot’s contract is up at the end of the season, but Paris Saint-Germain are willing to let the player go for 15 million euro this winter, according to Paris United. The midfielder was not included in the squad that traveled to Qatar, due to “family reasons.”
Rabiot is being pursued by Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester City. Any one of them that meets PSG’s valuation could sign him right away.
A report in Diario MARCA outlines a worry inside the Barcelona board as they hope to avoid a repeat of the “Antoine Griezmanncase.” The forward had reportedly promised Barcelona during the season that he would sign with them the next summer. But instead, Griezmann released a video in which he declared that he would stay with Atlético Madrid.
Rabiot has a similar agreement with Barcelona to join for free at the end of the season. But his agent and mother, Veronique, is reportedly still negotiating with other suitors. The Catalans are said to be concerned now. Will they move to get him right away, or would that present an “overbooking” in midfield?
