About University of the Incarnate Word
One of the leading comprehensive universities in Texas, the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio strives to educate student who will become concerned and enlightened citizens with values developed in a Judeo-Christian tradition.
UIW has an enrollment over 8,000 students and a student-to-faculty classroom ratio of 14:1, making it the largest Catholic university in Texas and the fourth-largest private university in the state. UIW offers nearly 90 undergraduate and graduate fields of study, including the Ph.D. in Education and doctoral degrees in pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and optometry (OD). UIW has agreements for reciprocal education with 140+ universities in 40 countries. It also operates academic sites in Mexico City, Mexico, Irapuato, Mexico, Heidelberg, Germany and Strasbourg, France.
