LIVERPOOL center-back Virgil van Dijk’s agents quickly rebuffed an approach from Barcelona, it has been claimed.

The Mirror report that Barcelona made inquiries to the representatives of the Dutch center-back to find out whether or not he might be tempted by a move to the Nou Camp.
But it is claimed any chance of a big-money move away from Liverpool for Van Dijk - who is managed by Neil Fewings of the Wasserman Media Group - was shut down.
That will be welcome news to Reds supporters, with the 28-year-old has been a revelation at Anfield since his £75million move from Southampton 18 months ago.
The Netherlands international has transformed the club’s defense since his arrival, establishing himself as one of the best center-backs in the world in the process.
Van Dijk was crucial as Liverpool went on to win the Champions League last season, beating Tottenham in Madrid in their sixth European Cup triumph.
His defensive talents saw him named the PFA Player of the Year as the Merseyside outfit also lost just once in the Premier League and managed the best defensive record in the division, conceding 22 goals in 38 games.
Liverpool missed out on the league title to an imperious Manchester City side but Van Dijk will be crucial if the club is to end their 30-year wait for a championship next term - and he isn’t going anywhere says The Mirror.
His performances have even seen Van Dijk tipped to win the Ballon d’Or this year, with Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi seemingly his biggest rival for the award.
Speaking before the Champions League final, Van Dijk declared to the club’s official website: “It’s my club definitely and I'm very proud to be wearing this shirt every day.
“But it's also one of the reasons when I came here - how everyone lives around Liverpool, lives and dies for the club, want to do everything for us, will be there in tough times.
“They will also be with us in the good times.
“I think this is a real football club and you don't have too many at this level that is living and breathing for a club like Liverpool.“It was a very important decision [for me] to make, but so far it has gone pretty well.”
And ESPN report that Van Dijk - the most expensive defender in the world - is keen to sign a new deal with the European champions.
Neither the club or the player are said to be in a rush to open negotiations but it is thought terms will be agreed without any issues.
Van Dijk is among the club’s top-earning stars on around £180,000-a-week, with Mohamed Salah thought to the best-paid of Jurgen Klopp’s squad on around £200,000-a-week.
The pair will not return to Klopp’s contingent until later this month, having been in international action for Holland at the UEFA Nations League and Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations respectively.

ended up winning teammates, club, and fans. The Chilean, signed in summer, despite not being the undisputed holder, has been consecrated as the number 12 player of Barça.
Ernesto Valverde did not hesitate to entrust himself to him when the game was rough and needed a player of different conditions: aggressive, strong and intense, a profile that was not available at the Camp Nou.
Far behind has left his problems with his character and his controversies outside the field. Now, with almost 32 years, he is a focused player, who does not raise his voice and who sacrifices himself for the team, which has a very clear goal, to achieve the triplet.
His good performance in the Santander League, and the fact that Rakitic, Busquets, and Arthur are untouchable - which will have to add to de Jong next year - had led to clubs like Tottenham, Juventus, his former squad, and Milan to ask about him.
All of them promised more prominence, a good salary, and different objectives, but all of them ambitious. S however, or at Barça are the work of letting him go just one year after paying 22 million for Messi and spoil his escape.

The Chilean has made good friends with Leo, who also values his involvement, his commitment and his claw on the grass.
The doors are closed and, more than a goodbye, what they try is to renew their bond to reward their good course

The president has a galactic plan

Real Madrid applies a fundamental maxim. Before getting in, allow to exit. There will be many signings, of course, but they will need to raise funds and leave room for the new ones with several departures.
600 million euros is the figure that Florentino Pérez expects to receiveA burrata. Starting with the assigns, James Rodríguez, Mateo Kovacic, Raúl de Tomás, Odegaard, Theo Hernández, Mayoral ...
In total, 160 'kilos' only with players who are not, today, or in the Santiago BernabéuNothing bad. To those, we should add the 50 that are expected to be perceived by Courtois, on the exit ramp by order of Zidane.
It would already be 210. More than Gareth Bale will leave with his march, he would leave that figure in 300 dives. 80 for Isco and 30 million for letting go to Mariano Diaz and would make 410 'kilos'.
Another 90 would come with the departure of Kroos Pep Guardiola Manchester City, 60 with the departure of Casemiro to PSG de Neymar and 25 with the transfer of a Nacho that points to Rome.
Finally, 15 'kilos' that Ceballos will leave in the white coffers with his signature by Betis that would raise that figure to 600 million exact.
Nothing despicable ..

The future of Exequiel Palacios moves away more and more from Real Madrid . The Argentine footballer, whose signing is closed since November, does not convince Zinedine Zidane.
Florentino Perez became obsessed with the crack of River Plate and hastened to reach an agreement with the millionaires and with the 20-year-old player, with whom he agreed to his arrival in the summer at the Santiago Bernabéu in exchange for 20 million euros.
However, the return of 'Zizou' to the White House dynamited an incorporation that was taken for granted. The French coach sees it very green to fill the void left by Modric and Kroos and prefers to focus on achieving the hiring of more contrasted players, such as Eriksen, Pogba or Milinkovic-Savic.
A situation that Cristiano Ronaldo tries to take advantage of to convince Palacios that he recalls in Juventus of Turin, that will let out Sami Khedira and very possibly Emre Can, if a good offer comes, which would leave room for one of the great talents of the South American soccer.
Seeing how well the experiment went with Bentancur, the 'bianconero' leaders are willing to repeat the formula with the midfielder of River , for which they put 22 kilos on the table, two more than Real, and offer more leadership.
Now the ball is on the roof of Palacios, who is also studying a proposal from Inter Milan.

The Real Madrid 2019-2020 project is taking shape and to do things well  Zinedine Zidane  has applied the saying "let go before entering." Florentino Perez knows that he has to sell to be able to incorporate the Galacticos that the French coach wants, but he must do it in a way that the other teams do not need.
The white president knows that  Gareth Bale will not leave the club, nor announce his departure before he has signed Eden Hazard because otherwise, the price of the signing will be higher and so with each of the additions.
For this Zidane has already warned the players he does not have and, for now, there are five:  Gareth Bale himself, Mariano Diaz, Dani Ceballos, Marcos Llorente, and Brahím Díaz.
The Welsh forward was the first to know his luck and his agent would already be talking to several clubs in the Premier League to find an agreement that benefits Real Madrid and the player.
Mariano Díaz will leave as soon as the arrival of Raúl De Tomás becomes official. The idea of Mariano is to stay in the Spanish League or return to Olympique de Lyon. Sevilla seems to have the best position to take the scorer.
Dani Ceballos has important offers of Champions teams and does not count for Zidane. Florentino Pérez hopes to make cash with his sale. Juventus is the favorite.
Marcos Llorente does not quite convince although his performance has been good as long as he has been allowed to play. Borussia Dortmund and several teams of the Premier League have asked for him.
Finally, there is  Brahím Díaz, who does not like Zidane, but that Florentino Pérez does not want to give up and will surely be transferred to a team in the Spanish league.

MANCHESTER UNITED boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has promised a brutal approach to the transfer market this summer.

Manchester United boss Solskjaer will look to sign as many as five new players when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.
The Red Devils will also look to get rid of some players, however, following a season of mass turbulence over at Old Trafford.
Manchester United could lose Ander Herrera to Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer, while Paul Pogba is attracting interest from Real Madrid.
Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo, Alexis Sanchez, and Eric Bailly are also facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford.
And as is Romelu Lukaku, whose agent recently hinted at a summer exit amid links to Serie A trio Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus.
Solskjaer, though, has promised a cutthroat approach as he aims to turn United into title challengers next season.
“I'm under no illusions that this is not going to be plain sailing,” said Solskjaer. “It's going to be hard.
“It's going to be survival of the fittest or survival of the best. That's how ruthless we have to be.
We need players here who are going to be able to take us forward.
That means the culture in the dressing room and what we do every single day here to make us challenge again.”
Solskjaer admitted that United stars are now playing for their futures while lauding Fred and Scott McTominay.
The duo impressed as the Red Devils slipped to a narrow 1-0 Champions League defeat to Barcelona.
And Solskjaer was enthused by the application of the United duo, saying: “I think they've done that since I came in, really.
“We have a certain standard here. We had a great boost [at the start], but now it's more challenging times with the results and performances.
“You want to see players step up now and say: 'I want to be part of this'. You saw Fred and Scott McTominay the other day take up the mantle.
“That's what we expect from all the players. When you win 5-0 or when you're 3-0 up, or when you win five games on the bounce, it's easy.
“It's easy to be a footballer. But it's not always easy. You get through tougher times. You'll lose games and your character is revealed.”

The Madrid in recent weeks has been fighting with several demons, coupled with that, a new defeat has increased the displeasure on the part of Zidane mainly. Zizou is pressing for at least two central quality defenders to close for next season, as Raphaël Varane's presence for the new project is increasingly distant.

Many centers have offered themselves to the white team, but few are to the liking of the coach and the heavyweights of the squad.

The name of Samuel Umtiti has reverberated in Madrid offices, a defender who at the beginning of the campaign was the undisputed holder along with Piqué at Barcelona , but who, following a complicated injury that was treated with innovative methods without success, lost his place in the gala evening and now he is close to losing his place in the squad. In the leadership, they rethink the continuity of Umtiti because his injury does not offer guarantees of being completely recovered, without leaving some type of sequel that affects again in the future compromising his career.

Umtiti has an offer from Real Madrid, already negotiated with the whites last year to raise the salary with Barca, now with the presence of Zidane, the French has greater reasons to accept being part of the merengue team.

Messi does not want him to leave, because the defense gained a lot of security since his arrival, a low point that was dragged from the exit of PuyolIn the locker room of Madrid, the news did not sit well, especially to Sergio Ramos, who believes that bringing a substitute of Barca would only heat up the mood and would not improve the squad, as the captain his opinion has a determining effect on the decision. French Revolution in the new Real Madrid of Zinedine Zidane?

Florentino Pérez wanted it and now they remember him.
The Real Madrid lives the reconstruction with a view to the next year with some places granted and others that wait for a new occupant.
Hazard will take the left wing, Benzema stands as owner in the center and Zidane asks Mane to replace Gareth Bale on the right flank if Mbappé cannot reach it. The problem?
The PSG does not negotiate for its star and Liverpool will dissipate the sale of its end, Mané, to 180 million, a figure that Florentino Pérez refuses to cover.
And, meanwhile, an old name appears.
Florentino Pérez negotiated with Paulo Dybala a couple of summers ago and the Argentine's surroundings remind him that he would fit in the vacancy, that he is willing to trade Cristiano Ronaldo for Zidane and that, besides, his price is a bargain compared to the rest.
The 'Juve' would not ask for more than 80 million for a Dybala in free fall since the arrival of CR7 and that has ceased to be untouchable and the great star in Turin.
A Pérez, who does not dislike the operation, they 'put' the boy's desire to play in the Real after Messi closed the doors of Barca when Neymar left.
Dybala was the chosen one of the club to replace 'Ney', but Leo denied the operation adducing incompatibility. Something that Dybala neither forgives nor forgives.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to give names. The Luso wants a winning project at the Juventus of Turin, surrounded by stars. The ones you have, that stay, and the ones that are missing, that arrive this summer.
In this sense, there are already up to three players on the table. The first is Ivan Rakitic, crack of Barca, which will hear offers. Although Valverde considers him untouchable, the signing of Frenkie de Jong, the emergence of Arthur and the age of Croatian, 30 years, invites to study options.
The 'Vecchia Signora' is very interested in getting the '4' culé, which could fill the gap left by Blaise Matuidi, with offers from China. CR7 has approved the arrival of the ex of Sevilla, which he sees as an ideal complement for Miralem Pjanic in the midfield.
Two other stars are Raphaël Varane and Marcelo, whom he knows perfectly well during his stay at Real Madrid. The departure of both of the Santiago Bernabéu is no chimera and Florentino Pérez will negotiate with them.
Zinedine Zidane wanted to retain both, but, after seeing the terrible level in which they are, has given way to allow their goodbye. Yes, as long as you receive a millionaire.

The agreement between Marcelo and Juve has been closed for months. 40 million more variables are the 'bianconera' offerVery tempting, considering the age of the Brazilian and his bad time.
But Ronaldo wants to reconnect with the one who is his best friend in the world of football and who is convinced that he will recover his best version. He is your best partner both on and off the turf and knows him better than anyone else. He has no doubt that it will be a 'top' signing.
Varane, on the other hand, wants to leave Chamartín, where he has been in seven seasons in which he has won absolutely everything. He needs, at almost 26 years of age, new challenges and a new environment.
The Frenchman has also lowered his benefits, but he will ask for almost 100 kilos. A madness that from Turin they hope to reduce, until, at least, the 60.
Massimiliano Allegri is in love with the Gaul and has given the OK. Cristiano knows that Juventus need to rejuvenate the defense since the backbone, Chiellini, Bonucci, and Barzagli, is in their thirties and they have a few years left.
The Italians come with everything.

Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic has reportedly agreed to a summer move to Italian champions Juventus with Frenkie de Jong set to arrive at Camp Nou.
As per a report from Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, as carried by Spanish publication MARCA, Barcelona midfield mainstay and Croatian international Ivan Rakitic has agreed to join Serie A champions Juventus in the summer transfer window.
Rakitic has been with Barcelona since the summer of 2014 when he joined from fellow La Liga outfit Sevilla. The 31-year-old has grown into an integral part of the Catalans’ setup and has won three La Liga titles and a Champions League trophy as well, along with numerous other domestic honors.

In the ongoing campaign, Rakitic has continued to essay an important role in the middle of the park for Ernesto Valverde’s men as they push ahead towards another Spanish league crown. So far in the 2018-19 season, the midfielder has played 45 times in all competitions and has been involved in 14 goals (5 goals, 9 assists).

Despite his importance to the side, there is a good chance that Rakitic could see his involvement reduce in the coming season, as Barcelona have snapped up Ajax midfield sensation Frenkie de Jong. The Netherlands international will be joining the Catalans in the summer, after a deal was agreed in January.

With Sergio Busquets nailed down for the deep midfield slot and Arthur Melo emerging as a key creative outlet from the centre, de Jong is most likely to replace Rakitic in the starting lineup. And this has cast doubts over the future of the 31-year-old at Barcelona, with Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly making enquiries over his potential availability.

Now, according to latest reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus too are interested in signing up Rakitic in the summer and have already made contact with the 31-year-old midfielder
The Serie A heavyweights, who are hurtling towards their eighth successive Scudetto, have a number of quality options in the midfield department, with Miralem Pjanic, Emre Can, Blaise Matuidi, Sami Khedira and Rodrigo Bentancur. However, 32-year-old Khedira has spent most of the season on the treatment table and the Bianconeri could be looking to replace the German.
The report further goes on to add that Rakitic has told Juventus that he would consider a switch as he seeks regular playing time and an improved deal, which he is unlikely to get at Barcelona going forward from next season. Barcelona too is likely to be open to a sale as they look to generate funds to bankroll moves for Matthijs de Light and Antoine Griezmann.
Rakitic is contracted with Barcelona till the summer of 2021, having penned a new deal back in 2017. It remains to be seen if he decides to move on from Camp Nou at the end of the season.

The Argentine did not expect it.

The Barcelona has been strengthened to improve their midfield, or at least to prepare for the possible departure of some of the elements of the eleventh gala. For several seasons the potential departure of the Croatian Ivan Rakitić has been loudly heard, as he feels that other clubs are willing to value their talent in a better way than the Blaugrana institution.

At the end of each market of recent seasons, the football player culé has missed the offers that position him in other teams by rooting the club, apart from the welfare of his family who lives in the city, for all this, he stayed within the club.

This year Rakitić is again in the eye of the hurricane because he sees how the club is including many players who work in his position, and even with salaries that are similar to his when he has earned it with a great career and many titles to his credit. Despite all these ingredients, the footballer does not seem to be unhappy, as he enjoys the experience to the fullest.

The decision to change course will be on the part of the Catalan leadership because it knows that they consider it a transferable piece. The Croatian would have asked to go to Juventus if they are going to sell it, and although it would come out of what is currently the best team in the world, he wants to stay in a competitive box with real aspirations to win the Champions League , and with Cristiano Ronaldo considers that he can have many options to achieve it.

La Vecchia Signora with Ronaldo seeks to bring together all those players who have had successful cycles in large teams, with which the Portuguese have shared, to put together a project with the certainty of success in the shortest possible time.

Will Ronaldo and Rakitić come together to take the Champions from Messi in the future?

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hopeful of signing five new players when the transfer window reopens while also clearing some deadwood.
The Norwegian was appointed as the club’s new permanent manager last week, following a hugely successful three months as caretaker boss.
Unfortunately, United’s form has taken a turn for the worst in recent weeks, with three defeats in their last four outings putting them in real danger of missing out on Champions League qualification.
However, there are still six games left of the Premier League season to put the situation right and the Red Devils have a European Cup quarterfinal against Barcelona to look forward to additionally.
Solskjaer is already looking beyond the current campaign though, with the transfer market set to reopen in May. According to The Telegraph, the United manager is plotting a major squad overhaul and he expects to bring in five new players ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly are all thought to be on the club’s radar, along with Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and West Ham star Declan Rice – as per The Telegraph.
The Red Devils are also expected to offload five current squad members later in the year – as the Daily Mirror reports – with several stars coming towards the end of their existing contracts.
Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are both set to become free agents this summer, while Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo have already been deemed surplus to requirements.

Ander Herrera set to leave Manchester United for PSG on a free transfer
Mata and Herrera have both been offered extensions recently, but neither man has been able to reach an agreement with United senior officials and Paris Saint Germain are chasing the latter’s signature with some vigour.
The Telegraph also states that United have been linked with Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes, Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez and Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho, with speculation intensifying as the season draws to a close.

Coutinho is a rumored transfer target for Man United
Old Trafford could soon bear witness to several huge changes and Solskjaer has the unenviable task of molding a new team capable of challenging for major silverware once again.

Moise Kean has become one of the fashionable men in European football. The 19-year-old Italian striker is beginning to take center stage after his brutal debut in Italian Calcio where he has scored 4 goals in his first 6 appearances. Some numbers are worthy of a world star and that is also endorsed by a more than solid game.
The young striker has already awakened the alerts of the great teams of European football and Real Madrid has been no less. Himself  Zinedine Zidane would put his name on the table in their search for a striker to mark goals this year have lacked the Madridista set in all competitions in which he has participated.
Kean has until now been the protege of  Cristiano Ronaldo, who faced off with his teammates after the racist criticisms that Leonardo Bonucci and his own coach  Massimiliano Allegri gave him last week.
Cristiano defended him tooth and nail and Kean feels very grateful to the Portuguese crack, however, he would have asked for a way out of the club after seeing that racism is standing up in several of his colleagues, something that the young man did not expect Forward.
Real Madrid will prepare an offer so that Kean can leave an Italy that has shown many racist episodes in recent years and hopes that in Spain they can treat him better, although the background with cases like  Samuel Eto'o's is not very encouraging.
Just in case, Florentino Pérez will make a very good offer, over 50 million euros, so that Kean does not have to think too much.
Zidane likes it and that is a guarantee of success for the Italian goalscorer.
