aro Morata has told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez: You're wrong about Philippe Coutinho.
The Liverpool midfielder is edging closer to a big money move to Barcelona after negotiations resumed this week.
Perez, meanwhile, has been telling confidants and fellow directors he isn't concerned, insisting the feedback he has received is that Coutinho is overrated. Indeed, it's made it's way to the Madrid press this week that Real turned him down when he was a teen with Vasco da Gama.
However, Diario Gol says Chelsea striker Morata, who remains in contact with many former Real teammates and Perez, has informed his old president that Coutinho is the real deal.
The phone conversation this week involved the topic of Coutinho and Morata, having faced him the Reds star this season, made it clear that the midfielder was definitely a genuine world class talent.
A move to Barca could be completed early next week to the tune of €150m.
