Transfer news: Five players face January tranfer at Barcelona

Five top players could leave Barcelona during the January transfer window which opens next month, reports Sport.

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde reportedly wants the club to sell players and several could be on their way out over the next few weeks.

According to the report via Sky Sports, the quintet of players who could be chopped comprises of Rafinha, Aleix Vidal, Gerard Deulofeu, Javier Mascherano and Arda Turan.
While Rafinha is reportedly wanted on loan by Celta Vigo with Barca willing to let him make a decision over his future, veteran midfielder Mascherano is expected to complete a €10m move to Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune.

Barca will only contemplate letting versatile wideman Vidal leave on a permanent basis. Sevilla, Atletico, Inter and Roma are all keen on him.

Former Everton man Deulofeu is being chased by Inter, who are looking to secure his services on loan until the end of the season.

Finally, Barca are looking to get rid of Turkish midfielder Arda, who hasn’t played at all this season. Besiktas are leading the chase to sign him.
