Antoine Griezmann's brother still hasn't reactivated his Twitter account after his Manchester United appreciation tweet last week incurred the wrath of Atletico Madrid supporters, so the France international teased in his absence.
Griezmann started for France in their 2-2 draw with Germany on Tuesday evening and came up against Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil, who is keen on reuniting with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford next year.
United had hoped to sign Griezmann in the summer before the Court of Arbitration for Sport's decision to uphold Atletico's transfer ban convinced the Frenchman to stay in Spain. However, United have not completely ended their interest in Griezmann and his release clause still stands at €100million.
So when Griezmann tweeted a picture of a beaming Ozil greeting him United's - and Arsenal's - Twitter representatives got giddy, even though many are probably still struggling to decrypt Griezmann's tweet.
The 26-year-old opted for an emoji-heavy post consisting of the calling hand emoji which symbolises his celebration, a smiley face, a chef and a football. Try and work this out:
Griezmann appeared on French television station Telefoot at the weekend in a Q&A with Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe and was directly asked if he had spoken to United manager Jose Mourinho. He simply replied: "No." M.E.N. Sport revealed last month Ozil has been advised to run down his contract if he wants to secure a move to United.
