Real Madrid achieved the seemingly unachievable last season when they crushed Liverpool to win their third Champions League in a row.
Bayern Munich was the last team to achieve that feat in Europe’s premier club competition way back between 1973-1976.
The last team just to win back-to-back titles was Brian Clough’s Nottingham Forest in the same decade.
However, Europe had never seen a team quite as terrifying as Zidane’s Real.
Impervious at the back thanks to Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane; creative in midfield with the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric pulling the strings; all spearheaded by the top goalscorer in Champions League history - Cristiano Ronaldo.
The serial success ultimately proved too much for Zidane and Ronaldo though, with both heading out of the Bernabeu exit in the summer of 2018.
And while Zidane has been pulled back since, Ronaldo has been setting the Serie A alight with Juventus.
In light of Zidane’s return to the Spanish capital, French broadcaster RMC Sport 1have released a documentary about him.

And reflecting on his time under the Frenchman, Ronaldo has revealed how the “intelligent” Zidane managed to keep such a talented squad happy and motivated.
“I think Zidane knows how to handle the team in an intelligent way,” he said.
“It's not an easy situation because all the players like to play a lot, but he knows how to work intelligently and he manages to involve all the team.”
Real’s long-term captain Ramos was also full of praise for his manager, insisting there is a correlation between his fine talent on the pitch and in the dugout.

“Zidane's career speaks for itself, both what he did as a player and what he does as a coach,” Ramos said.
“He found a way to transfer the talent he had as a player to his new role and manage a dressing room.
“He does a fantastic and unique job, and the results are not a coincidence.”
