That is according to European transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, who claims the Blues have upped their asking price for wantaway Hazard.
Hazard has long been on Real’s radar having forged a reputation as one of the Premier League’s top talents during his time at Chelsea.
The La Liga giants are set to overhaul their squad this summer, with Hazard one of their top targets alongside Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.
Hazard has refused to put pen to paper on a contract extension which would keep him at Stamford Bridge beyond 2020
And it is looking increasingly likely that the 28-year-old will realize his dream of linking up with his hero Zinedine Zidane, who is Real Madrid manager.
Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla has now revealed Chelsea are willing to entertain letting Eden Hazard.
And that’s because they are desperate not to go through the same scenario they endured with their former goalkeeper Courtois last year.
Courtois ultimately joined Real from Chelsea for a cut-price fee having knocked back contract offers, threatened to run down his deal and gone AWOL.
Chelsea is eager not to be forced into selling Hazard as the transfer window winds down, even though a transfer ban will prevent them from snaring a replacement anyway.
And, even more pertinent, is the threat of losing the former Lille winger on a free transfer when his contract expires next year.
Chelsea is, though, reluctant to do business for the £87m (€100m) Real had envisaged.
And they are therefore demanding Real stump up £104m (€120m) to ensure Hazard rocks up at the Bernabeu.
Whether Chelsea’s stance will alter if they cannot strike a deal with Real early on remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes this summer is prime time for Hazard to go.
"He is obviously going to be a huge loss if he leaves during the summer, and I would actually be very surprised if he ends up staying," Schwarzer said.
"Hazard is 28 now and if he is going to leave, now is the time. If he does join Real Madrid then he has dealt with the situation very well because his performances this season will mean no Chelsea fan will begrudge him going."
