‘Sign This Chelsea Star Now’ – Lionel Messi Advises Board To Swoop For Chelsea Star.
Argentina Superstar Lionel Messi has advised Barcelona’s hierarchy to make move for Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso in the summer.
The Spanish international, who was left out of Spain World Cup squad, is being tracked by Barcelona in the winter transfer market but the Blaugrana didn’t make any move for his signature, instead, they captured Yerri Mina and Nelson Semedo from Palmeiras and Benfica respectively.
Alonso will surely be a massive addition to Barcelona at the right-back position, where they seemed to lack quality and depth.img
Apart from executing his primary duties by preventing opponents from scoring through his flank, the 27-year-old old also scores goals.
In the 81 matches he’s played so far for the Blues, Alonso has scored 14 goals – mostly from his high-quality set-pieces.
Having failed to qualify for next season’s Champions League, it is believed that top players might consider leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Eden Hazard, Willian, Thibaut Courtois, Pedro, Bakayoko, David Luiz, and N’Golo Kante have all been linked with a move out of West London ahead of next season.
Meanwhile, according to Don Balon, Messi is also calling on the Catalans board of directors to lure Eden Hazard to Camp Nou, despite Real Madrid’s interest in the Belgian.
Hazard is presently unhappy at Chelsea after a fall-out with Antonio Conte during the course of last season, he could fail to remain at Stamford Bridge should the Blues retain Antonio Conte beyond the summer.
