As the Metroc reports, Chelsea have beaten Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of George Nunn from League Two side, Crewe Alexandra.
The 16-year-old has risen to prominence following impressive performances with Crewe’s under-16 team.
He reportedly attracted the interest of several Premier League sides; however, Chelsea have won the race for his signature.
The forward amassed more than 20 goals for Crewe’s under-16 side before being promoted to the under-18 team.
Despite his striking displays at youth level, Nunn has yet to represent Crewe’s first-team. Although, he did score two goals on his debut for the under-18s.
It is believed that Crewe will receive £300,000 for their highly rated youth prospect. The  will be pleased that their new acquisition rejected a move to Tottenham Hotspur in favour of joining Chelsea. Here’s hoping he can emulate the success that Ethan Ampadu has achieved with the club.
