ANTONIO CONTE has defended his decision to snub Jose Mourinho for a post-match handshake after Chelsea beat Manchester United.
Conte was Mourinho's permanent successor as Chelsea boss and last term took a side which finished 10th after imploding under the Portuguese to the Premier League title.
The pair have exchanged numerous verbal barbs, but there was little interaction tonight at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho was seen waiting for Conte to shake his hand after the final whistle but the Italian was still celebrating Chelsea's vital win on the touchline.
The Manchester United manager was left to shake the hands of Conte's backroom staff and players.
At the end of the match I went to shake the hands of the officials and then my players. If I shake someone's hand twice I think it's enough."
The win ensured Chelsea remain in fourth place in the Premier League table. I snubbed him because I want Him to mind His business. Shaking Him is not important, say Conte.
